Opportunity HighlightsOur client company is a growing and stable $300M publicly-traded company is seeking an experienced Senior level General Accountant for their growing Accounting team. As a Senior GL Accountant you will ensure the accuracy and efficiency of our month-end closing process. Responsibilities include preparing and reviewing journal entries, reconciling accounts, and collaborating on the development of financial statements.
Responsibilities
- Oversee the accuracy and completeness of assigned financial tasks.
- Lead project teams as needed, ensuring proper documentation.
- Manage month-end closing tasks, including foreign currency adjustments, eliminations, and expense allocations.
- Streamline the closing process by developing new procedures.
- Contribute to the development of global accounting policies for accurate financial reporting.
- Support internal and external reporting processes (e.g., monthly financial package, SEC filings).
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance (or equivalent experience).
- 6-9 years of experience in a related accounting role.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook).
- Experience with accounting software (e.g., Dynamics D365) a plus.
- Certified Public Accountant (CPA) preferred.
- High quality work ethic with a commitment to continuous improvement.
