Our client is a new Silicon Valley hardware startup focused on accelerating the training performance of large AI models. Today’s AI training performance is gated by numerous bottlenecks in the data center, resulting in degraded GPU utilization, long training cycles and high costs. Our client introduces several industry-first innovations to deliver a solution that clears these bottlenecks to unlock AI performance while reducing cost and power.
Our client is seeking an experienced software lead/architect to lead the software development for their groundbreaking, innovative technologies that accelerate AI workloads in large clusters. As software lead, you will have a strong voice in product development and work closely with customers and R&D teams.
Responsibilities
- Help with product requirements alongside engineering and product marketing
- Work closely with R&D teams to optimize the product architecture
- Develop proof-of-concept materials for innovative technologies for use by early adopters
- Develop the specifications of the SDK
- Recruit and hire the software development team
- Lead the development of the SDK and reference implementation of network operating systems
- Work with customers on their technical challenges and requirements using during pre-sales activities
Qualifications
- 15 years of experience with computer software, knowledge of Linux kernel, Ethernet and IP protocols
- B.Sc, Masters, or Ph.D. in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or related technical field (or equivalent experience)
- Extensive knowledge in, and experience with software architecture of Ethernet Switches/Routers and network protocols in the L2 to L4 layers
- Extensive knowledge of Network Operating systems (SoNIC, etc.)
- Strong experience in architecting and developing networking SDK’s
- Experience with RoCE, and RDMA
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with attention to details
- Ability to work collaboratively with the hardware engineering teams and be willing to work directly with customers
- Knowledge in Cloud infrastructure and AI workflows
- Linux Environment and Linux Networking
- Experience with SAI (Switch Abstraction Interface) is a plus, but not requiredValley executives and engineers with decades of experience in state-of-the-art semiconductors,
Location: Saratoga, CA
Salary: $200,000 - $280,000 base salary equity
