Job Title: Utility PorterDepartment: Public AreaJOB SUMMARY:It is the responsibility of the Utility Porters for cleaning and service of assigned areas according to the standards of cleanliness set by management to ensure a clean, comfortable, safe, and attractive environment for our Guests. ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS: Responsible for practicing, supporting, and always promoting the Company Service StandardsAlways Maintaining a clean environmentResponsible for the shampooing of carpetResponsible for cleaning both high and low areas, which may involve the use of a ladderResponsible for cleaning hazards, windows, upper and lower dustingResponsible for all detail cleaning the public areasResponsible for maintenance in offices, windows, carpet; restroom, general maintenance, and use of floor/carpet machinesHeavy Cleaning such as floor buffing, exterior or floor polishing, window washing, furniture or floor polishing and carpet shampooingFloor stripping, sealing, finishing and or polishingMaintain of the all the marble and prepared cleaning solutions as necessary and followed safety procedures as prescribed by OSHARequires knowledge of cleaning chemicals and mixtures Requires knowledge of sensitive material such as marble, granite, and metal Use the extractor, wet vacuum, steamer, cleaner and shampooer as assignedQUALIFICATIONS: Ability to communicate effectively with Guests, Team Members and Management in both written and verbal formAbility to work safely, including understanding and following company safety policies and procedures, completing work in a safe manner, caring about safety of self and others, responding appropriately in an emergency, and reporting unsafe conditions; this also includes being aware of unsafe conditions such as spills, wet areas, debris, and addressing quickly and efficientlyAbility to work with cleaning products, chemicals and solvents using safety equipment provided by the companyMust be able to perform assigned duties both indoors and outdoorsMust understand cleaning and disposing of biohazardsMust be at least 21 years of age or olderMust be able to effectively communicate in EnglishEDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:At least 6 months of related experience preferredPHYSICAL, MENTAL AND WORK ENVIRONMENT:Requires normal, corrective vision range, the ability to see color and the ability to distinguish letters, numbers, and symbolsAbility to lift and move up to 70 pounds, to be able to perform inspector and utility duties as neededManual dexterity to operate job related equipment including, but not limited to, a vacuum, cleaning supplies and safety equipmentWork is typically in an area which may be unusually hot, cold, dusty, noisy, indoor, outdoor, and may contain secondhand smokePerformance of job duties will require standing, walking, lifting, bending, reaching, pushing, pulling, and grasping.
