Role Overview:

As the Restaurant Manager, you will support the General Manager in overseeing the daily operations of our vibrant venue, bar, and lounge. Your role will be critical in ensuring the highest standards of service and efficiency. You will be the backbone of our operations, working closely with the General Manager to achieve budgeted goals and sales growth. In the absence of the General Manager, you will take the helm, ensuring the smooth and effective running of the venue.

Key Responsibilities:

In this role, you will:

• Assist in managing the venue's daily operations, ensuring compliance with all policies, standards, and procedures.
• Lead by example in guest service, greeting and interacting with guests to ensure a memorable dining experience.
• Develop and maintain staffing schedules to meet business demands, ensuring the venue is adequately staffed for all shifts.
• Recruit, interview, and hire new team members, providing training and ongoing development to foster a high-performance team.
• Collaborate closely with the Executive Chef and kitchen staff to ensure seamless operations and exceptional food quality.
• Handle guest bookings and manage events, ensuring all details are executed flawlessly.
• Conduct pre-meal briefings with the Chef and General Manager to educate staff on menu items, ingredients, and preparation methods.
• Maintain high standards of cleanliness and sanitation throughout the venue, adhering to health and safety regulations.
• Manage inventory and purchasing, ensuring supplies are within budget and available as needed.
• Participate in financial management tasks, including budget comprehension, payroll administration, and expense control.
• Communicate performance expectations to team members and provide continuous coaching and feedback.
• Foster a positive work environment, motivating and encouraging team commitment and spirit.

Qualifications:

We are looking for candidates with:

• A Bachelor’s Degree (desirable) and a Personal License Holder certification.
• At least 6 years of experience in the food and beverage industry, with a minimum of 4 years in a managerial or supervisory role.
• Strong mentoring, development, and disciplinary skills.
• In-depth knowledge of human resources policies and employment laws.
• Excellent decision-making and problem-solving abilities.
• Necessary certifications to comply with government regulations and health codes, such as Food Safety and Alcohol Awareness certifications.
• Understanding of financial concepts and Profit & Loss analysis.
