Equipped with a comprehensive prokaryotic and eukaryotic protein expression system, a sophisticated mouse monoclonal antibody production system, and a trailblazing fourth-generation rabbit monoclonal antibody technology, our client stands at the forefront of in vitro diagnostic product development. They also specialize in custom IVD materials, supporting the early stages of raw materials research and development services.

Position Overview

We are seeking a dynamic and driven Technical Sales Account Manager to join our client's vibrant team. Based in the San Francisco Bay Area, you will propel revenue growth by forging and deepening relationships with clients across the biotech, biopharmaceutical, clinical diagnostic, and various other industrial sectors. Your primary mission will be to champion the client’s molecular enzymes and NGS reagents.

Reporting directly to the Director of Industrial Sales, you will collaborate with a passionate and supportive team. Your insights and client feedback will be crucial in shaping business strategies and innovations.

Responsibilities

  • Proactively research and cultivate business relationships with new and existing clients across Diagnostics, Biotech, Pharma, and related industries. Utilize diverse prospecting methods such as outbound communication, trade shows, market analysis, and direct engagement to uncover opportunities where the client’s offerings can provide significant value.
  • Assume full accountability for managing inbound leads, inquiries, and requests. Engage with potential customers through diligent follow-ups, scheduling, and tracking interactions to build a solid pipeline of high-quality prospects.
  • Drive sales success by delivering exceptional customer service throughout the sales cycle—from initial inquiry and quote preparation to closing deals and managing post-sale relationships. Employ best practices in sales development, including digital communication, personal visits, and social media engagement.
  • Facilitate product technical training for the sales team and clients across the US and Canada. Represent the company at industry conferences and sales events to bolster product awareness and sales.
  • Contribute technical insights to product marketing initiatives, enhancing the brand’s market presence and customer engagement.
  • Collaborate with team members to refine sales strategies and execute market expansion plans. Gather market intelligence to inform product development and marketing strategies.
  • Partner with various departments to synchronize efforts and ensure consistency in materials, deliverables, and client expectations.
  • Manage reporting responsibilities and maintain accurate records within the CRM system.

Qualifications

  • Educational Background: Bachelor’s degree in a scientific discipline, with a preference for molecular biology or biotechnology. Advanced degrees (Master’s or higher) are highly regarded.
  • Industry Experience: At least one year of experience in strategic account management or business development within the Pharma/Biotech sector.
  • Product Knowledge: Solid understanding of Molecular Enzymes and NGS Reagents.
  • Independent Judgment: Self-motivated with the ability to make sound decisions in dynamic situations.
  • Communication Skills: Exceptional presentation abilities and comfort interacting with executive-level audiences.
  • Travel Requirements: Willingness to travel within the US and Canada as needed.
  • Team Collaboration: A cooperative team member who values open communication.
  • Client Relations: Strong client engagement skills that focus on fostering long-term partnerships.

Compensation

  • Competitive compensation package including base salary and performance-based bonus.
  • Compensation commensurate with experience.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $75,000.00 - $90,000.00 per year
