Job Responsibilities: This position has primary responsibility for fulfilling orders in the warehouse (order picking). Responsible for Shipping, Receiving, and Loading delivery vehicles. Additionally, this employee is expected to maintain a professional demeanor at all times, epitomize the Company’s Core Values, and follow all policies in the Employee Handbook and the Operations Manual.

Primary Responsibilities

• Work with all department staff to ensure all deadlines are met.
• Pick, pack, and stage material that will be delivered. This includes, but is not limited to:
  • Job Material
  • RMA material
• Safely load trucks with material that will be delivered. This includes, but is not limited to:
  • Loading of outgoing fabrication and materials
  • RMA material
• Communicate with other associates to organize and label shipping boxes/crates for their intended destinations. This includes, but is not limited to:
  • Job sites
  • Vendor warehouse
• Effectively communicate any material issues to the purchasing/inventory department
• Ensure all required paperwork/documentation is sent with the appropriate material
• Maintain order and cleanliness of yard. This includes but is not limited to:
  • Keeping pipe stock in correct locations
  • Alert Purchasing when pipe is running low
  • Trash, recycling and pallets in the appropriate locations
  • Maintain an organized and orderly yard – “A place for everything and everything in it’s place”
• Maintain a neat and clean warehouse.
• Always exercise correct safety precautions.
• Fulfill other duties as assigned by supervisor.

Essential skills

Communication, organization, attention to detail, time management, familiarity with inventory processes and fire sprinkler industry parts

Working Conditions

Expected working hours and conditions are as follows:

Monday – Friday 6:00am to 3:00pm in an industrial warehouse/shop setting with normal working conditions.

Noise levels frequently require hearing protection

No open toe shoes may be worn.

When entering the fabrication area extra personal protective equipment such as safety glasses must be worn

Physical Requirements

Repetitive tasks including, but not limited to:

• Computer/tablet operation
• Email and direct communication with others in workgroup
• Lifting up to 50 lbs. frequently throughout an eight-hour workday
• Climbing a ladder
• Near constant standing/walking on concrete floors.

Salary Range: $18.00-$23.00 per hour Depending on Experience

Paid Time Off: 40 hours upon completion of 90-day probationary period
