Red River Youth Academy is Hiring an Admissions Coordinator Near Norman, OK
- To direct and manage the referral process for all admissions for the referring facility.
- To ensure acceptance of patients is keeping with the admission and exclusionary criteria of the hospital and are appropriate for admission
- Gather required information from referral sources to make a decision about the appropriateness of the patient for admission
- Maintain a referral log that identifies all referrals, dates, person making the referral and the outcome
- Provide written summary of each patient being admitted that includes identifying information, behaviors, reason for referral or need for treatment and background
- Assumes responsibility for generating referral packet and completing all relevant/required paperwork
- Conducts initial level of care assessments to determine and support reason for hospitalization
- Conducts managed care pre-certifications and completes all required paperwork to ensure prompt processing of all insurance claims
Licensure/Certifications: LPC, LCSW, LMFT or LADC preferred, CPR/CPI required (provided).
Experience: At least two years of experience working in a hospital; knowledge of the types of patients served and related diagnoses; positive customer service skills and referral sources
