Red Rocks Community College is Hiring a HR Manager Near Lakewood, CO

Summary of Position

The HR Manager supports the mission and goals of the College and the Human Resources department. This position supervises one classified staff member in the daily operations of and serves as a subject matter expert in all HR-related FLAC and payroll processing, backend benefits processing, and related auditing and compliance functions. This position oversees and coordinates annual compliance training and all offboarding activities.
The HR Manager applies a diversity, equity, inclusion, and accessibility lens for all programs overseen, continuously evaluates areas of responsibility, makes recommendations to improve, implements any approved changes to new or existing processes, and performs backup function for supervised staff during absences and/or high workload needs.

Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution or equivalent combination of education and/or experience.
  • Two (2) years’ experience in HR, new hire processing, data entry, reporting, or closely related experience.
  • Strong attention to detail, accuracy, and ability to find other’s errors.
Physical & Cognitive Demands
The following are some of the physical and cognitive demands commonly associated with this position.
  • Occasionally moves, positions, and transports files and office materials weighing up to 10 lbs.
  • This is largely a sedentary role. This position operates in an office environment and constantly uses a computer, and routinely uses standard office equipment including phones, copiers, etc.
  • The person in this position constantly communicates with internal and external constituents and students. Must be able to exchange accurate information in these situations.
  • Cognitive demands include comparing, copying, computing, compiling, analyzing, coordinating, synthesizing, negotiating, communicating, instructing, and interpersonal skills.

Starting Salary Starting salary range for this position is $61,914 to $68,106 annually, commensurate with education and experience. This is a full-time, FLSA-exempt position. This position has been exempted from the State Classified System.
