POSITION SUMMARY
As a Corporate Staff Accountant for Red Seat Ventures, you will be assisting the accounting department with month end tasks including, but not limited to, bank reconciliations, ad hoc reports and statement for customers, all journal entries including but not limited to payroll, intercompany allocations, accrued commissions and revenue recognition. This position will also be responsible for the accounts payable, accounts receivable, and collections process, along with the accounting of such activities. This role will support the company’s critical and strategic growth in our media footprint. This individual is expected to grow in the role and eventually take on additional responsibilities within the accounting group.

What are we looking for?
ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
- Prepare general ledger entries, maintain records and files
- Reconcile bank and most general ledger accounts
- Use external statements to reconcile bank accounts, commercial cards and other payments
- Support accurate and timely completion of monthly, quarterly, and year-end close including the preparation of journal entries.
- Ad hoc reports & assignments as directed, including preparing excel-based customer statements on a monthly basis from financial data
- Work with business owners and AP department to prepare accounting accruals
- Must have strong organizational skills with a focus on accuracy and attention to detail.
- Prepare and process customer invoices and ensure proper recording in the company’s financial system.
- Monitor A/P and A/R emails daily and respond accordingly.
- Manage the collections process and work closely with customers and internal team on clearing variances.
- Work with other departments to ensure the timely processing of vendor invoices.
QUALIFICATIONS, SKILLS & ABILITIES
- 2 years of experience in accounts payable, accounts receivable, and/or general accounting.
- Experience working with Xero and Bill.com is preferred but not required.
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel including Pivot Tables and VLOOKUPs.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
