Red Spot Paint is Hiring a HR Specialist Near Evansville, IN
Red Spot Paint & Varnish Co, Inc. has an immediate opening for a HR Specialist – Labor Relations & Recruitment at our North American headquarters in Evansville, IN. The focus areas of this position are daily labor relations initiatives, recruitment of non-exempt positions, maintenance of HRIS and electronic files, and completion of monthly analytics reports for the Corporate Human Resources Department.
The HR Specialist reports to the Corporate Director of Human Resources and is responsible for the following areas:
- Labor relations initiatives and projects
- Recruitment of non-exempt positions
- HRIS entry and updates to employee records and employee files
- Completion of monthly HR reporting and analytics
- Administrative support role for designated areas of HR such as document retention, benefit plans, medical leaves, workers compensation, employee development/training programs, etc.
- Bachelor’s degree in business, Human Resources, or relevant major with 0-3 years of HR experience, or 5 years of Human Resources experience
- Strong ability to utilize HRIS (ADP experience is preferred), MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
- Excellent oral and written communications skills.
- Ability to organize and prioritize a variety of projects and multiple tasks effectively, organize own work, set priorities, and meet critical deadlines.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality of sensitive information.
- Ability to interpret, apply, explain, and ensure compliance with applicable federal, state, and local laws as they relate to employment.
- Ability to maintain accurate, detailed files and comply with appropriate record keeping requirements.
- Ability to speak and read English fluently and/or bilingual.
- Recruiting experience - 1 year preferred.
- Labor Relations - 1 year preferred.
- HR Certification is preferred, but not required.
- Prior experience in a manufacturing setting is preferred, but not required.
