WHO WE ARE:

Red Wine & Blue is a national community of diverse suburban women working together to defeat extremism, one friend at a time (best explained by this Washington Post profile, ‘Blue’ suburban moms are mobilizing to counter conservatives and this NYT episode of “The Daily,” Why Suburban Women Changed Their Minds). We are seeking a 30-40 hour per week Production Assistant to support the Communications & Media team. 

WHO YOU ARE:  You obsessively follow the news and want to get involved in political action. You are organized, detail-oriented and a good writer. You aren’t afraid to jump in and learn on the go - knowing you have a safety net of support. You're excited about joining a team that creates fun, engaging, and educational content.

This is a temporary, full-time intern position that does not directly supervise any employees, reports to the Head of Communications & Media and can be performed from anywhere in one of our 12 current operation states (GA, IA, IL, MI, NC, NJ, NY, OH, OR, PA, TX, VA) and Washington, D.C. Occasional travel may be required to help create content from in-person events. This temporary assignment is expected to end on December 13, 2024. 

WHAT YOU’LL DO:

• Assist in the production of videos, podcasts and other multimedia content. 
• Assist in the preparation and sharing of video, audio and other social media content in collaboration with the social media team.
• Monitor social media trends on TikTok, Instagram Reels, and YouTube Shorts to enhance Red Wine & Blue’s social media presence. 
• Conduct research of topics for video scripts, write preliminary interview questions and conduct fact-checking, compiling and analyzing information to support video and podcast production.
• Assist remote talent with best practices for self-capturing video for use in Red Wine & Blue content. 
• Other duties as assigned

• Education & Experience: A willingness to learn, a familiarity with Adobe Premiere and Audition, StreamYard and Canva is a strong plus.

WHAT WE OFFER

The hourly rate range for this position is $15- $20 per hour commensurate with related experience.
