Redbock- an NES Fircroft company is Hiring a Project Manager Near Groton, CT

Our client is a major pharmaceutical company with sites all over the U.S. The Pharmaceutical Sciences team is in need of a Project Manager to help oversee all developmental phases from pre-clinical to commercialization. This consultant will drive decision making and outcomes at the interfaces of pharmaceutical / CMC technical development, project management, and budgeting / finance processes.

This is a 12-month assignment with a strong likelihood of extension. This is a remote assignment, although candidates will be required to work EST hours.

Responsibilities:

  • Independently manages a large and complex assigned project workload, proactively maintaining end-to-end project plans and associated forecasts (for resources/FTEs and external spend)
  • Proactively identify gaps, risks, and opportunities for improvement to the project plan and forecast.
  • Develop and interpret scenarios under tight timelines and with limited and often ambiguous input to support project valuations, acceleration proposals, alternative development strategies, and/or business development deals related to current or proposed projects
  • Lead cross-functional resource discussions/meetings with the Small Molecule PharmSci Science & Technology lines (e.g., Drug Product Design, Analytical R&D, Chemical R&D) to ensure accurate indirect (FTE) and direct financial forecasts.

Requirements:

  • BS Degree minimum; advanced degree and PMP certificate preferred
  • 5-10 years of direct pharmaceutical development PM experience
  • Strong understanding of key disciplines involved in Pharmaceutical development, including API development, drug product development, analytical development, manufacturing, clinical supply chain, and regulatory activities
  • Demonstrates proficiency with the following tools/software: Planisware, MS Excel Pivot Tables, MS Project, BusinessObjects, OnePager, Spotfire, and SharePoint.
  • Able to work under tight timelines, multi-task, and prioritize one's work to meet key deadlines
  • Must demonstrate excellent communication skills and strong attention to detail
