ReDiscover is looking for an Administrative Assistant to add to our Finance Department!

ReDiscover has been known for over 50 years as a non-profit community mental health center in southeastern Jackson County, Missouri with a mission of delivering efficient and cost-effective treatment for the people we serve. WHAT WE DO
The Accounting/Finance Department is responsible for facilitating and managing all financial aspects of ReDiscover including financial statements, grant management, payroll and accounts payable. We provide our leadership with timely and accurate financial data to assist in the continued success of our mission.
At ReDiscover, while every day is different, a typical day may include the following roles and responsibilities:
- Providing administrative support for the VP of Financial Operations, which may include:
- Project Management of assigned activities.
- Performing data entry and analysis as assigned.
- Copying and collating documents and meeting packets.
- Scanning and electronically filing accounting source documents.
- Assisting with filing, mailings, routine correspondence and record keeping when requested.
- Acting as a resource and/or facilitator for internal and external needs directed to VP.
- Serving as a backup for the building receptionist and answers phone calls as needed.
- Reconciling site deposit logs and making the bank deposit.
- Processing credit card payments as needed.
- Assisting with contract, insurance, licensing, and policy updates and renewals.
- Working collaboratively with the credentialing team, including maintaining the contract imaging system.
- Processing incoming office mail for distribution and return mail for address correction and system documentation.
- Ordering department office supplies.
- Serves as the main point of contact for office equipment repair calls.
Qualifications
We are focused on your development and will spend time helping you continue to grow as an Administrative Assistant. However, here are some that you will need prior to starting with ReDiscover:
- High School Diploma or GED required.
- At least two (2) years of progressively responsible administrative assistance experience that includes coordinating projects and managing multiple tasks with minimum supervision.
- Strong written, oral and interpersonal communication skills.
- Intermediate computer skills in typing/keyboarding, Microsoft Word and Excel programs as well as G-Suite.
