Reporting to the Director of Surgical Services, this position prepares, packages and sterilizes supplies for the hospital.
Assists in the training of new employees. Works under the direction of the Lead CS Technician, Materials Management Supervisor, and Director of Materials Management.
QUALIFICATIONS / EXPERIENCE :
Strong knowledge of sterilization techniques.
Ability to identify instruments and assemble instrument trays for surgical procedures.
Must be available to work all shifts if necessary.
Strong communication skills are essential, good computer skills preferred and must be able to work with minimum supervision.
Experience in Sterile Processing is preferred.
CBSPD or CRCST certification required within 12 months of hire.
CBSPD or CRCST certification and one year of experience required for Sterile Processing Tech II.
