Job Responsibilities:Construction AdministrationManage all on-site activities for projectsCoordinate with the Project Manager in planning and executing work, and maintaining the construction scheduleEstablish and maintain professional working relationships at all levelsHelp plan and conduct project progress meetings with owners, engineers, and subcontractorsCoordinate with the Owner’s on-site representative in following contract procedures and requirementsCoordinate Reed & Reed’s QA/QC testing and documentation, and support the Owner’s QA/QC proceduresManage documentation including: daily logs, JSA’s, extra work documents, time sheets, material packing slips, safety reports, test data, PO’s, etc.Ensure that all work, whether performed by company forces or by subcontractors, meets the highest standard of quality workmanshipAssist Project Manager with change ordersHelp establish site logistical plansPersonnelWork with Project Manager and Human Resources to staff project and adjust staffing levels as the project progressesSupervise all field employeesConduct yearly review of assigned employeesMentor and support the development of R&R employeesMaterialsSchedule deliveries with Project Manager and the Transportation DirectorReceive, inspect and properly store all site deliveriesPurchase miscellaneous materials, using purchase orders and cost codes EquipmentCoordinate with Project Manager to assign company equipment to projectInteract with Project Manager to make decisions regarding rental of outside equipmentImplement Company equipment policiesCoordinate equipment maintenance and repairs on projectEnsure equipment is used properly and safely, and operated by qualified personnelCollaborate with the Project Manager and other superintendents to transfer material, equipment, and personnel among projects SubcontractorsSupervise and coordinate subcontractor workWork with Project Manager to address and resolve issues with subcontractors SafetyResponsible for enforcing job site safety with personnel and subcontractorsWork with Safety Director and Project Manager to create and implement the project safety planConduct weekly safety meetings and other specific safety meetings as required Qualifications/Requirements: ProfessionalDirect experience supervising and scheduling self-perform and subcontracted labor forcesAble to supervise 1 to 7 subordinates including foremen and field engineersStrong interpersonal skills with the ability to manage and positively motivate our workforce and subcontractors, and interact with the Owner’s representativeConsistent quality of self-perform work product delivered by the crewsProven project and safety success on prior projectsPossess problem solving skills and a strong work ethic TechnicalWell versed in all aspects of industrial construction, substation construction and electrical activities associated with the construction of Wind Farms.Knowledgeable of identifying equipment needs and use for activitiesReview plans and specifications for constructabilityIn-depth knowledge of safety requirements; OSHA 30 hour training courseAbility to develop basic construction schedulesCreate and update 3 Week Look Ahead schedulesGood understanding of Reed & Reed’s policies and use of documentation (e.g. time sheets, purchase orders, and cost coding)Understand basics of using Microsoft Office ExperienceField construction experience in construction methods, safety, and schedulingHigh School diploma or GED equivalent, or a construction management degree10-15 years of progressive construction experience with 5 years in a supervisory roleCapable of managing projects between $2M - $30MA Veteran Friendly, Equal Opportunity Employer
