**Description**

**Essential Functions**

* Plan and executes logistic needs with trucking firms to ensure timely pick-up and delivery of shipments, while minimizing freight cost.

* Establishes priorities and directs loading workforce to satisfy customer demands.

* Implements and enforces processes aimed to create a maximum inventory consistency and accuracy.

* Reviews and resolves operational problems to minimize cost and prevent operational delays.

* Manages the assigned business metrics/ budgets including yield, labor efficiency, and overhead expenses.

* Demonstrates leadership to warehouse employees to ensure consistent quality of work.

* Maintains effective communication of expectations and goals throughout the warehouse environment.

* Ensure compliance to all OHSA and environmental regulatory and corporate standards.

* Investigate and identify root causes of any non-compliance.

* Accountable for a safe working environment through the development of strategies focused on accident reduction as well as energy and waste minimization.

* Will fill in for Warehouse Manager as needed

* Perform other duties as assigned by supervisor/manager.

**Requirements**

Education & Experience:

* Undergraduate Degree in a related field (or equivalent experience) plus three (3) years experience in warehouse logistics management required. Strong leadership capabilities in a fast-paced production environment required.

* Previous experience in the food/beverage manufacturing industry preferred.

Position-Specific Skills:

* SAP or other supply chain software experience required.

* Must be proficient in Microsoft Office (Windows, Excel, & Outlook) with the ability to learn new applications as required.

* Initiative, the ability to work independently, strong customer service orientation, strong written and verbal skills and flexibility, vision and creativity.

* Ability to prioritize and multi-task in an organized, detailed manner, given limited time frames.

Physical Demands:

* Physical - Continuously standing or walking.

* Visual/Sensory - This position requires regular need to give moderate attention with one or two senses at a time.

* Work Environment - Work and environment are very repetitive.
