Position Description
The Operations Manager is responsible for driving and managing all manufacturing and order fulfillment activities at the facility while maintaining efficient production in desired quality and quantity. Develops and leads the Plant Production team, and Warehouse team in achieving or exceeding key performance indicators for safety, environment, quality, customer service and cost. Build and develop a strong team of decision-makers and our organization's next leaders.
Essentials Functions

• Ensures the fulfillment of customer orders within the specifications of quality, quantity and cost.
• Manages the assigned business metrics including yield, labor efficiency, and overhead expenses.
• Demonstrates leadership to production and warehouse employees to ensure consistent quality of work.
• Maintains effective communication of expectations and goals throughout the plant environment.
• Develop and communicate business impact with weekly, monthly, and quarterly performance reports and presentations in Excel and PowerPoint. Make regular presentations to Managements teams on performance.
• Ensure compliance to all OHSA and environmental regulatory and corporate standards. Investigate and identify root causes of any non-compliance.
• Accountable for a safe working environment through the development of strategies focused on accident reduction as well as energy and waste minimization.
• Back up to Plant Manager.
• Other duties as assigned by Plant Leadership.

Requirements
Education & Experience:

• Undergraduate Degree in an Engineering-related field (or equivalent experience) plus eight (8) years experience in production and/or engineering environment required.
• Strong leadership capabilities in a fast-paced production environment required.
• Previous experience in the food/beverage manufacturing industry preferred. Functional experience in Lean Manufacturing, 5S, TPM, etc. preferred.

Position-Specific Skills:

• Ability to prioritize and multi-task in an organized, detailed manner, given limited time frames.
• Must be flexible to work alternate shifts if production needs allow.
• Must be proficient in Microsoft Office (Windows, Excel, & Outlook) with the ability to learn new applications as required.
• This position will successfully lead and develop a team of Refresco employees.
• An understanding of operational electrical and mechanical systems is a plus. Troubleshooting and Lean Manufacturing experience required.
• An understanding of SQF, responsibility for Food Safety /Food Quality and the responsibility to take action when notified or becomes aware of any Food Safety or Food Quality issue.
