Preference will be given to candidates completing a lab science (college level) course. Advanced math skills are required along with the ability to make decisions independent of supervision. This person must have a high degree of sensory awareness and pass color and taste discrimination tests. Computer competency is also required. This individual will also be able to interact and communicate in a professional manner at all levels.
Job Description: Duties include but are not limited to the following:

1. Independently tests, adjusts, approves batches of juice, and certifies production.
2. Monitors production by sampling and testing bottled juices.
3. Accepts or rejects raw material based on test results.
4. Issues batch sheets as needed.
5. Relieves inventory based on batch sheets.
6. Enters batching/processing shop orders and prints reports.
7. Maintains, reviews, and retains library.
8. Tests and determines the acceptability of samples.
9. Completes paperwork and records for shipping samples.
10. Uses microscope to examine raw material for evidence of spoilage.
11. Issues "HOLD" reports as needed, tags "on hold" material and tests for disposition.
12. Adheres to and assists in maintaining and promoting GMP's.
13. Performs quality checks on incoming raw material received directly from vendors.
14. Follows safe work practices and handles hazardous materials properly.
15. Other duties as assigned.
