• Inspects systems and therefore the purpose of ensuring safety and identifying necessary repairs and providing an ongoing program of preventive maintenance.
• Diagnoses problems and/or failures in refrigeration systems to identify equipment and/or systems repair and replacement needs.
• Informs personnel regarding procedures and/or status of work orders for the purpose of providing information for making decisions, taking appropriate action and/or complying with health and safety regulations.
• Pay based on experience.
Job Requirements:
• HVAC entry level experience preferred but not required.
• Experience in repairing and maintaining supermarket rack systems, walk-in/reach-in freezers and coolers, refrigerated serving lines, ice machines.
• Ability to collect, analyze, and summarize data and prepare work orders.
• Must have EPA certification.
• Valid driver's license and good driving abstract.
• Periodic travel with extended overnight stays may be required while working on outer-island (Kona, Kauai, Maui) project/jobs.
• Good people skills with a commitment to customer satisfaction.
• Ability to explain technical information to non-technical customers.
• Problem solving is required to identify issues and create action plans.
• Able to work effectively and efficiently under minimal supervision.
• Able to participate in an on-call rotation
• Able to lift 50 lbs.
