Regal Rexnord is Hiring a Quality Assurance Manager II Near Charlotte, NC

Position Summary:
The Quality Assurance Manager is responsible for managing and coordinating all Quality Inspection and Calibration activities at Regal Rexnord Charlotte NC location. Provide daily support to Production, Manufacturing Engineering, Purchasing and Contracts in inspection related issues, drive continuous improvement initiatives throughout the manufacturing & inspection processes. Will interact with both internal and external customers, as well as manage the quality system to achieve quality objectives.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
  • Provides leadership to plant quality team, works cross-functionally with plant production, manufacturing engineering, purchasing, and production control departments. Also collaborates with corporate supply chain and sourcing managers and supplier quality engineers.
  • Promote a culture of Safety and Continuous Improvement in accordance with RRX values.
  • Drives improvements in first pass yield, reduction in internal and external PPM, customer complaints, scrap cost and other KPIs.
  • Provides hiring, promotion and disciplinary action recommendations.
  • Provides mentorship, coaching, performance evaluation and feedback for direct reports.
  • Leads and drives quality improvement strategy, initiatives, and projects.
  • Responsible for ISO compliance actions for the site, and ensuring the effectiveness of the QMS, including ownership of corrective actions and QMS improvements.
  • Assists with justification of process and inspection improvements by helping to determine cost of poor quality and other analysis.
  • Reviews all the corrective actions submitted by the team for final approval.
  • Completes analytical review of the QMS to support reduction in scrap, rework, and warranty.
  • Gets customer approval on deviations as required and implements systems to meet those customer requirements.
  • Effectively supervise and direct all Quality Inspection and Calibration activities on a daily basis; establish clear performance expectations and accountability for department associates.
  • Determines staffing requirements to meet quality and delivery expectations.
  • Manages inspection backlog and turnaround time metrics.
  • Direct and be able to prioritize multiple inspection jobs in a high pace environment.
  • Other duties as assigned by management.

  • Advanced level proficiency with MS Office software applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
  • Demonstrated strong project management skills.
  • Proven ability to work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
  • Strong interpersonal skills which foster teamwork and collaboration and develop high quality working relationships to influence, gain support, and achieve results. This includes strong cooperation with production, engineering, and maintenance personnel, as well as external customers and vendors.
  • Proven ability of managing others.
  • Demonstrated ability to maintain confidentiality and handle proprietary and sensitive information with integrity.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including the ability to effectively deliver and transfer knowledge of technical concepts to production associates and respond to questions.
  • Willingness to be flexible and adapt to changes in internal processes, delays, or unexpected events to meet daily customer demand and on time delivery requirements, including performing any task required to meet department objectives.
  • Willingness and ability to work extended hours, including weekends as required to support manufacturing needs.
  • Strong analytical ability to recognize the need for modification of procedures or processes, identify root cause, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions where limited standardization or information exists.
  • Willing and able to occasionally travel domestically and internationally up to 25% to customer, supplier, and/or other RRX sites, including attendance at off-site meetings, events and professional development conferences or seminars.
Experience Required:
  • Bachelor's degree in a related field is required.
  • 7 or more years of quality experience in a manufacturing setting is required.
Experience Preferred:
  • Master's degree preferred.
  • Previous quality or engineering management experience preferred.
  • ISO 9001:2015 audit and process experience preferred.
  • SAP experience is preferred.
Physical Demand and Work Environment:
Potential physical demands include but are not limited to: frequent sitting and occasional bending and stooping. Potential sensory demands include but are not limited to: hearing and seeing. Lifting and/or maneuvering of up to 30 pounds without assistance, or heavier loads with the assistance of a lifting device in order to set up test equipment. Must be able to work in a typical manufacturing facility and travel domestically outside facilities which could entail walking, climbing and moving around working equipment.

WORK ENVIRONMENT :
Majority of time is spent in a general office environment, but regular time will also be spent in a manufacturing production environment where personal protective safety equipment must be worn, and proper safety precautions must be observed.
