JOB DESCRIPTION

Summary Regal Boats is seeking a motivated self-starter to join our team as a Sales Administration & Transportation Specialist. This individual will oversee the delivery and transportation process for all boat sales. They will develop a high-level view of our present capabilities and challenges and form recommendations for procedural improvements to improve efficiency and support business objectives. They will coordinate logistics schedules and partner with key organizational stakeholders to determine and implement efficient planning and use of resources. This individual will also play a key role in our internal sales operation. They will assist clients and dealers with on-site visits. They will develop a strong understanding of our internal sales process and be able to assist the sales team and dealers with questions that arise. This individual will learn about the Regal product and be able to represent Regal at boat shows or other industry events. Our ideal candidate has superb attention to detail, strong multitasking ability, and excellent communication skills.

Transportation

  • Perform regular audits of logistics procedures to ensure we are within DOT standards. 
  • Develop recommendations for process improvements, outlining present challenges and how improvements can bolster our operational strengths.
  • Coordinate logistics schedules between vendors, internal departments, transportation staff, and clients.
  • Stay abreast of emerging technology and organizational methodologies to recommend opportunities for improvement and growth.
  • Understand Department of Transportation rules, regulations, and auditing procedures. 
  • Dispatch Regal Drivers and coordinate shipments with outside shipping companies.
  • Ensure that company-owned trucks and trailers are maintained and in good condition.
  • Work with the manager to develop process improvements in fuel costs, maintenance costs, load profitability, etc.
  • All other duties that may be assigned. 

Sales Administration

  • Perform Tours of the facilities for Dealers and Clients
  • Be available to work Boat Shows or Other Industry Events
  • Perform Sales Administration support for North America

Work EnvironmentThis job operates in a professional office environment and routinely uses standard equipment such as computers, phones, and photocopiers.

Physical DemandsThe physical demands described here represent those that a team member must meet to perform the essential functions of this job successfully.

While performing the duties of this job, the team member is regularly required to bend at the waist and knees and stand for extended periods. The team member will regularly spend time outside, walking, checking the status of boats, loading, and inspecting company property. The team member is frequently required to climb into and out of the boats using stairs. The team member must frequently be able to lift 50 pounds, work 10-hour days with most of the time being on their feet, and work overtime, whether planned or unplanned.
