POSITION

We are seeking an Accounts Payable Associate to join our Regeneration Schools team. Reporting directly to the Staff Accountant, this individual will work with the Accounting Team to perform accounting and bookkeeping tasks for the maintenance and processing of accounts payable transactions for ReGeneration Schools and each of its nine campuses. The Accounts Payable Associate will have accounting content knowledge and experience and will be responsible for executing Accounts Payable, as well as other tasks and duties outlined below.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Review Chicago and Ohio vendor invoices for validity, accuracy, supporting documentation and proper approvals.

• Record and process vendor transactions in compliance with the network financial policies via Quickbooks and Sage Intacct. Transactions are recorded on an accrual basis.

• Upload vendor invoices to Bills.com in accordance with the treasury and authorizer requirements.

• Record and download credit card transactions into the accounting system ensuring proper documentation is attached.

• Record bank deposits.

• Process vendor payments (via ACH, Bill Pay or Check) and obtain proper approval(s) or signature(s).

• Maintain and update vendor records including W-9’s.

• Assist with 1099-NEC preparation and filing.

• Prepare bank reconciliations.

• Record payroll into the accounting system on a bi-weekly basis.

• Process bi-weekly pension payments for the State of Ohio and Illinois in accordance with each state's rules and regulations.

• Process insurance payments on a monthly basis (Health, Dental, Vision, LTD, STD, Workers Compensation, etc.)

• Compile invoices paid from grant funds and submit them to the accounting team.

Qualifications:

• Minimum two years of bookkeeping experience.

• Experience with accounting and billing programs including Quickbooks,Sage, Intacct, and Bills.com

• Knowledge of Microsoft Office suite specifically Excel

• Understanding of bookkeeping and accrual accounting

• Understands the importance of handling confidential financial information appropriately.

• Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills.

• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.

• Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines

• Experience managing multiple entities with intercompany transactions.

• Non-profit and education experience preferred.
