Summary:# Assists and provides care in treatment of emergency and urgent care patients in accordance with established policies and procedures.# Performs various activities such as taking patient#s vital signs, specimen collection, EKG and blood collection as required.# Performs clerical duties through manual and computer applications. # Education Requirement: Successful completion of an approved EMT, Medical Corpsman, Medical Assistant or equivalent healthcare training program or qualified by education, training or experience to work with the adolescent, adult and/or geriatric patient population as specialty assignment dictates preferred. # Experience Requirement: Previous experience as a Medical Corpsman, Basic EMT, Medical Assistant or equivalent healthcare experience working in the emergency department to include: patient service clerk, patient attendant, patient transport, EKG testing, blood/specimen collection, data entry, and maintaining sterile environment and infection control practices preferred.## # Licensure/Certification Requirement: Current CPR/BLS certification required.# Licensed Basic EMT, Certified Nurse Assistant, or Medical Assistant preferred. #
