Regional West Health Services is an independent, integrated health care delivery system based in Scottsbluff, Nebraska that is seeking a talented Registered Nurse Lactation Educator.

To serve this mission, you will be delivering quality nursing care while utilizing critical thinking skills according to nursing best practice standards. The RN delegates care appropriately according to nursing practice standards. The RN will be responsible for delivering quality care while maintaining a culture of positively and teamwork.

As the RN Lactation Educator, you will:

• Work Monday through Friday, based on patient care needs
• Daily rounding on patients to provide education and support to all breastfeeding and pumping patients
• Attend scheduled C-Sections to facilitate Skin-to-Skin if medically appropriate
• Provide breastfeeding education to staff to ensure skills and appropriate level of competency is maintained
• Provide prenatal breastfeeding education as needed
• Assist with the organization and execution of education that supports all specialties
• Assist with the support and education of new hires onboarding to the unit
• Maintain list of due dates for staff competencies and requirements

You may be a great fit if you:

• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing. BSN preferred.
• Current and valid Registered Nurse license in the State of Nebraska.
• Current Lactation certification (CLC or IBCLC) or able to obtain within 6 months of hire
• Additional department-specific certifications may be required
