Rehabilitation Support Services, Inc. (RSS), a not-for-profit mental health agency, is hiring a Program Manager to manage the day-to-day operations of an adult community residence in Middletown, NY. Minimum Qualification: HS diploma with 5 years of experience preferred in a human services setting. Bachelor's degree with two years’ experience preferred in a mental health setting or in a human services setting.
Essential Functions:
1. Participates in staff recruitment and hiring.
2. Complete staff and program schedule as applicable.
3. Supervise staff
4. Ensure that an orientation plan is developed and implemented for new employees.
5. Maintain a positive work environment that contributes to team building.
6. Conduct regular staff meetings.
7. Ensure all policies and procedures are carried out.
8. Oversee client care, including crisis services and assure all services are provided on a timely and regular basis.
9. Ensure all applicable medication regimes are carried out.
10. Oversee the coordination of all needed recovery-oriented client services.
11. Attend client related meetings as needed.
12. Ensure the protection of all clients’ civil liberties, rights and properties.
13. Advocate client need with other service providers.
14. Participate in referral and interview process for new client admission and planning for discharges.
15. Conduct regular client meetings and encourage client participation in program planning and decision making.
16. Work cooperatively with all internal and external entities.
17. Ensure premises are well maintained, professional and meet all safety requirements.
18. Assure that all billing is accurate and complete according to Agency policy, Medicaid, or other regulatory guidelines if applicable.
19. Assure collections of all receivables including assuring that the clients receive all applicable entitlements on a timely basis.
20. Ensure all required documentation and record keeping is completed within time frames according to Agency policy and regulatory requirements.
21. Ensure audits of case records are conducted according to division protocol, if applicable.
22. On-call responsibilities if applicable.
23. Ensure that all staff maintain appropriate certifications and attend all required trainings.
24. Participate in training sessions designed to enhance growth and skill development.
25. Performs other duties as assigned by the immediate supervisor or other management staff
26. Maintain valid CPR, First Aide and Defensive Driving certification if applicable.
Other Requirements:
Valid NYS driver's license and successful completion of Justice Center and New York State Office of Children and Families Statewide Central Register Database clearance.
