Job Summary:Process Control Technician manages and maintains the site’s technology systems, including but not limited to PLC systems, HMI/SCADA systems, printers, phones, cameras, networking, access control, information systems hardware and software. The Process Control Technician facilitates the administration and supports all technological systems for Rembrandt operational area.Duties and Responsibilities:
Performs administration and maintenance for all systems listed above
Implements PLC, HMI, Network, and software configuration changes
Implements PLC, HMI, and software programming changes
Provides end user support for control and information system problems
Provides operational equipment support for control and information system problems
Troubleshoots operational information technology system problems
Communicates with management on day-to-day maintenance issues
Supports process improvement projects for all technical equipment
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:Required:
Associates degree in related field
In depth knowledge and understanding of instrumentation and controls
3 years of relative work experience preferred
Knowledge of PLC hardware and software
Ability to program various PLC’s
Ability to modify changes with various HMI systems
Knowledge of EtherNet networking principles
Knowledge of DeviceNet networking principles
Ability to troubleshoot and replace electrically driven equipment.
Ability to read, understand and create ladder logic diagrams
Awareness and knowledge of surroundings in relation to climate, atmosphere and equipment
Ability to read, understand and effectively communicate information through writing and speaking so others will understand
Attention to detail
Independent Self Starter/Team Player
Mathematical skills: General Arithmetic/Basic algebra/Percentages/Fractions
Computer Skills: Word, Excel, Outlook, Internet, Touch Screens
On call duties as needed to include nights and weekends
Hand/Eye/Foot Coordination
