We are seeking a dynamic and motivated Entry-Level Public Relations Assistant to join our team. This role is designed for someone with a passion for public relations and a desire to learn and grow within the field. The successful candidate will support the PR team in executing communications strategies, maintaining media relations, and enhancing the company's public image.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in developing and implementing PR campaigns and strategies.
- Draft and distribute press releases, media advisories, and other PR materials.
- Monitor media coverage and compile reports on PR activities and results.
- Maintain and update media contact lists and databases.
- Assist in organizing promotional events, press conferences, and other PR activities.
- Support social media activities by creating and posting content, and engaging with followers.
- Handle administrative tasks such as scheduling meetings, preparing agendas, and taking minutes.
- Conduct research on industry trends, media opportunities, and competitive activities.
- Build and maintain relationships with key media contacts and influencers.
- Assist in crisis communication efforts when necessary.
- Bachelor's degree in Public Relations, Communications, Journalism, Marketing, or a related field.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to multitask and work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
- Familiarity with social media platforms and digital communication tools.
- Basic understanding of media relations and PR principles.
- Creative thinking and problem-solving abilities.
- Previous internship or experience in PR, communications, or a related field is a plus.
