Job Title: Agricultural Fence Installer - Rocky Mountain Terrain
Pay: $18-$22/hr depending on experience

Job Summary:
We are seeking a motivated and skilled Agricultural Fence Installer to join our team in installing fences in the rugged terrain of the Rocky Mountains. The successful candidate will work under the guidance and supervision of the Foreman, assisting in various aspects of agricultural fence installation. This role requires physical stamina, knowledge of fencing materials, and the ability to work in challenging outdoor conditions.

Responsibilities:

1) Installation Support:

  • Assist the Foreman in conducting site assessments and preparing for fence installation.
  • Follow installation plans and instructions provided by the Foreman, ensuring accurate and efficient completion of tasks.

2) Equipment Operation:

  • Operate power tools and gas-powered machines safely and effectively under the direction of the Foreman.
  • Help maintain and care for specialized fencing equipment used in mountainous terrain.

3) Terrain Adaptation:

  • Adapt to varying terrain conditions, assisting in installing fences on rocky soil, steep slopes, and in adverse weather conditions.
  • Follow the Foreman's guidance to ensure proper techniques are used for different types of terrain.

4) Safety Compliance:

  • Adhere to all safety protocols and procedures specific to agricultural and mountainous environments.
  • Use personal protective equipment (PPE) as required and ensure safety measures are followed at all times.

5) Quality Assurance:

  • Assist in implementing quality control measures to ensure fences meet industry standards.
  • Perform regular checks under the supervision of the Foreman to identify and address any issues promptly.

6) Livestock and Wildlife Considerations:

  • Understand the basic requirements for agricultural fencing related to livestock and wildlife.
  • Assist in implementing solutions that address potential wildlife interactions and ensure the safety and containment of agricultural assets.

7) Communication:

  • Maintain clear communication with the Foreman and other team members.
  • Report any challenges or issues encountered during installation to the Foreman promptly.

8) Documentation:

  • Help keep accurate records of work performed, including any changes or issues encountered during installation.

Requirements:

  • Experience with power tools and gas-powered machines.
  • Basic understanding of agricultural fencing materials and techniques.
  • Ability to follow instructions and work as part of a team.
  • Physical fitness and ability to work in challenging outdoor conditions.
  • Commitment to safety protocols in agricultural and mountainous environments.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Previous experience as a fence installer, particularly in agricultural settings.
  • Familiarity with Rocky Mountain terrain and local wildlife considerations.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $18.00 - $22.00 per hour

Expected hours: 32 – 40 per week
