Job Description: We are seeking a professional and reliable Delivery Driver to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for operating a company-provided van (under 10,000 pounds) to transport, load, and unload packages to designated destinations. This role involves direct interaction with customers at their homes and businesses, and requires a commitment to representing the company with the highest level of professionalism.

Key Responsibilities:

• Operate a company van from the home office to various customer locations.
• Utilize a handheld device for routing information, customer delivery details, and communication with the home office/dispatch.
• Load and unload packages efficiently and securely.
• Conduct regular inspections of the van, including tires, lights, brakes, gas, oil, and water levels.
• Maintain communication with the supervisor to clarify delivery instructions and address any issues that arise.
• Keep accurate logs in compliance with state and federal regulations.
• Secure packages to prevent damage during transit.
• Adhere to all safety protocols and company policies.

Required Skills and Experience:

• Customer Service: Demonstrated ability to engage with customers professionally and courteously, upholding the company’s brand image.
• Driving and Delivery Experience: Previous experience in driving and delivering is preferred.
• Technology Proficiency: Comfortable using mobile technology for routing and communication.
• Safety and Security: Adherence to safety and security procedures; proactive in identifying and reporting potential hazards.
• Attendance and Punctuality: Reliable attendance and punctuality; ability to complete tasks in a timely manner.
• Dependability: Follows instructions, takes responsibility, and meets commitments.

Education Requirements:

• High school diploma or GED required; college degree preferred.

Supervisory Responsibilities:

• This is a non-supervisory role.

Physical Demands and Work Environment:

• Physical Demands: Ability to stand, walk, sit, and drive. Requires manual dexterity, good eye-hand coordination, and the capacity to lift up to 100 pounds. Must be able to crouch, stoop, and bend.
• Work Environment: Operate a vehicle in urban, suburban, and rural settings. Comfortable working independently and communicating via mobile device with the home office and supervisor.

Requirements:

• Must be at least 21 years old.
• Availability on weekends required.
• Valid State Driver's License required.
• Authorization to work in the United States required.
