The Repair Service Coordinator is an integral part of our service team. This position is responsible for serving as the primary contact between the customer and the repair departments to ensure every detail regarding any repair request is documented and communicated accurately. This position involves a great deal of customer contact and requires strong attention to detail and organization skills. This position is also responsible for ongoing communication with the customer regarding their repair. Customer relation skills should exude confidence and sincere understanding and care.
KEY FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Work directly with customers to process incoming jewelry, watches, and other repair items.
- Assist customers with the pick-up and sale of repaired jewelry.
- Maintain contact with customers throughout repair process and notify them when their repair is completed.
- Advise customers on all incoming jewelry and watch repairs and document key data including condition, features, item descriptions, etc.
- Work closely with outside vendors and manufacturers regarding jewelry that needs to be repaired by them.
- Ensure all items received are processed timely and accurately.
- Field incoming inquiries from customers via phone and email regarding repairs
NECESSARY SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE AND BEHAVIORS:
- Minimum two years of luxury retail experience preferred, ideally in jewelry and/or watch retail, with a demonstrated concern for customers and coworkers
- Strong drive to exceed customer expectations and deliver exceptional experiences, coupled with an appreciation for the sentimental value of jewelry
- Ability to work independently and efficiently in a fast-paced environment, with a willingness and eagerness to learn
- Flexible availability, including Saturdays, and exceptional phone and communication etiquette
- Prior experience in luxury jewelry and/or watch industry strongly preferred, with excellent analytical and decision-making skills
- High performance standards, self-motivation, and strong planning and organizational skills
- High integrity and ethical standards, with the ability to balance conflicting priorities and strong interpersonal skills.
REQUIREMENTS:
- Minimum of two year of experience in a luxury retail environment is ideal (jewelry and/or watch retail is preferred)
- Driver’s license for ability to travel between store locations and to off-site events/trainings.
- Must be currently authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis
PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
This job operates in a professional office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines. The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk or listen. The employee frequently is required to stand; walk; use hands to finger, handle or feel; and reach with hands and arms. Position may also involve sitting for extended periods of time, climbing stairs, and standing for extended periods of time.
