OverviewWe are partnering with a reputable healthcare system to hire for The Developer & Employee Experience Team, enabling the client’s journey to the cloud. The DevOps Platform Engineer, Senior will report to the Manager of Software Configuration. In this role you will design, build, and maintain the Internal Developer Platform, enabling operational excellence for the client, their trading partners, and provider networks. This is a contract-to-hire opportunity to be part of a forward-thinking organization’s journey to the cloud.

Responsibilities
- Collaborate to enable an enterprise GitOps framework by developing and automating self-service, scalable CI/CD pipelines for developer communities
- Code and maintain script solutions using Java, Python, SQL, PL/SQL, MySQL, NOSQL, Shell Script, and PowerShell in BSC’s pipeline automation framework
- Create and maintain CI/CD pipelines and automation frameworks
- Leverage your expertise of modern Web, SOA/Microservice, and Cloud Native architecture to solve enterprise problems
- Implement engineering best practices and techniques (Trunk Based Development, Test Pyramid, Feature Toggles, Blue-Green Deployment)
- Maintain detailed documentation of CI/CD processes, configurations, and best practices to ensure knowledge-sharing and onboarding efficiency
- Implement security best practices within the CI/CD pipelines, ensuring compliance with industry standards and organizational policies
- Define, track, and report key performance indicators, metrics, and trends related to automation development, usage, and contribution to software quality
- Communicate with stakeholders regarding planning, design, meeting automation requirements, and automation development activities
- Troubleshoot complex problems with automation tools and automation framework setup/configuration
- Model he company’s leadership values and behaviors, inclusive of being a continuous learner with an automation-first mindset
- Requires a bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
- Requires 5 years of professional experience serving as a technical expert in enterprise CI/CD pipeline development and maintenance
- Requires hands on experience building and managing CICD pipelines for cloud solutions in a heavily regulated, DevOps environment using Infrastructure as Code (IaC) practices
- Requires hands on knowledge of virtualization tools like Docker, Kubernetes, OpenShift
- Requires in depth knowledge of Microsoft Azure
- Requires proficiency in the following programming languages: Java, Python, SQL, PL/SQL, MySQL, NOSQL, Shell Script, PowerShell, or similar
- Requires current AZ-400 Certification or equivalent knowledge
- Requires current RedHat DO-007 and/or DO-417 and/or DO-374 Certification or equivalent knowledge
- Additional Cloud Hosting Provider certifications strongly preferred
- Experience working in an agile development environment is strongly desired
- Experience working remotely is strongly desired
