Requirements Of The RF Systems Engineer
- Experience: A minimum of 5 years’ experience in the maintenance and support of large-scale public safety radio networks.
- Technical Knowledge: Comprehensive understanding of L3Harris land mobile radio (LMR) systems, including simulcast setups, P25 radio technology, and microwave communication systems.
- Systems Expertise: Proficient in using Linux, SQL Server, Microsoft technologies, Cisco networking hardware, Firepower firewalls, and VMware virtualization platforms.
- Networking Skills: Advanced computer skills with a focus on networking, including knowledge of telecommunications testing tools.
- Networking & Security: Solid understanding of TCP/IP, networking principles, and ensuring network security.
- Problem-Solving Abilities: Strong skills in diagnosing and resolving technical issues.
- Communication & Service: Excellent communication capabilities, with a strong emphasis on customer service.
- Certifications: Holding professional certifications such as CCNP (Cisco Certified Network Professional) or CISSP (Certified Information Systems Security Professional) is advantageous.
