Title: Director of Nursing, Emergency Department

Status: Full-Time

Location: Las Vegas, Nevada

Pay Range: $125,354 to $166,000

Bonus: Relocation assistance available for ideal candidate

Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Director of Nursing for the Emergency Department to oversee the 24-hour management of designated units, ensuring that the hospital meets the established standard of care. The Director will be responsible for managing the delivery of care, maintaining quality standards, and providing leadership and guidance to the nursing staff.

Job Responsibilities:

• Manage the 24-hour operations of the Emergency Department, ensuring that the hospital meets the established standard of care.
• Provide leadership and guidance to nursing staff, promoting a culture of excellence in patient care.
• Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure the delivery of high-quality, patient-centered care.
• Develop and implement policies and procedures to improve patient care outcomes.
• Monitor and evaluate the performance of the nursing staff, providing feedback and coaching as needed.
• Ensure compliance with regulatory standards and requirements.
• Manage the department budget and resources effectively.
• Participate in the recruitment, hiring, and retention of nursing staff.

Required Qualifications:

• Graduate of an accredited school of Nursing, BSN, Masters preferred
• Minimum of five (5) years clinical experience required
• Minimum of two (2) years progressive management experience required
• Computer proficiency to include word processing, spreadsheet and database.
• Current RN license in the State of Nevada
• Must be able to demonstrate the knowledge and skills necessary to provide care/service appropriate to the age of the patients served in the Emergency Department.
