  • f life. *Position Summary:* The Residential Training Speci

hing and managing RFCS's residential training program. This training program is delivered through effective implementation of program operations including community networking, planning services to meet participant needs, and other activities. The residential training program seeks to equip individuals to find success as direct support professionals for adults with IDD, mental and physical health difficulties. *Duties and Responsibilities:* * Participates in developing department goals, objectives, and systems. * Leads weekly pre-hire residential training program using an established curriculum. * Leads pre-hire site orientations. * Responsible for learning and development of the residential staff. * Facilitates training classes for CPR, Fire Safety, and Medication administration and coordinates with other departments for proper documentation tracking. * Manages online Relias training platform and documents weekly progress to appropriate departments. * Builds an understanding of the needs of those working in the Residential community homes and those who want to work in our homes, and plans training to meet those needs. * Promotes positive relations with Residential Employees and community agencies. Build partnerships with outside entities to achieve program goals. * Collaborates with other RFCS staff, including but not limited to Human resource and residential program staff, to coordinate needs for residential Training participants and maximize client outcomes. * Participates in the development of ISP and BSP documents and training execution. * Documents and reports key outcomes on a monthly basis. Including but not limited to training status, progress and concerns. * Participates in the development of the training content and leads quarterly virtual group training sessions. * Travel to Residential community sites and off-site program training locations. * All other duties as assigned as it relates to the position. *Requirements:* * Bachelor’s Degree preferred. Associate’s Degree from a two-year college or technical school or other equivalent combination of education and experience. * Minimum of 5 years of experience working with individuals with intellectual disability and mental health. * Certified to administer fire safety, CPR, and medication administration. * Clear criminal history, medical/tuberculosis screening. Valid driver's license. CPR/First Aid certification. * Must demonstrate effective verbal and written communication skills. Must demonstrate effective use of Microsoft Word, Excel, and Office Suite products. Ability to use technology and learn new technology. * Demonstrates the organization's core competencies and solid customer service skills. * Ability to form effective partnerships with all stakeholders including family, and caregivers. * Computer literacy: Experience with Microsoft Word and Excel and email. * Strong written and oral communication skills. * Current Criminal background check, FBI background check, and Child Abuse Clearance. * Ability to work with all levels of internal staff and management as well as external clients and vendors. * Effectively problem solve with the ability to proactively address issues preventing escalation. *Physical Environment/Working Conditions:* * Must be able to drive an automobile/van and have a valid driver's license. May be required to lift and/or physically support consumers independently or with other staff.
