Reliance Staffing is Hiring a CNC Operator III Near Houston, TX

Job DescriptionResponsible for operating one or more types of computer numeric controlled production equipment. Selects appropriate settings and adjusts as necessary. Follows established quality and safety standards. Reports to the Production Supervisor. Works independently with limited supervision within established procedures associated with the specific job function. Has proficiency in multiple competencies relevant to the job.
Occupation-Specific Information
Tasks
  • Measure dimensions of finished workpieces to ensure conformance to specifications, using precision measuring instruments, templates, and fixtures.
  • Transfer commands from servers to computer numerical control (CNC) modules, using computer network links.
  • Set up and operate computer-controlled machines or robots to perform one or more machine functions on metal or plastic workpieces.
  • Modify cutting programs to account for problems encountered during operation and save modified programs.
  • Write simple programs for computer-controlled machine tools.
Technology Skills
  • Enterprise resource planning ERP software — ERP software; SAP software.
  • Office suite software — Microsoft Office software.
  • Spreadsheet software — Microsoft Excel
  • C.N.C. Programing software – Gibbs-CAM

Experience RequirementsEducation
