PositionOverview

  • TheExecutiveDirectorofHospiceservesastheoperationalandclinicalleaderofReliantat Home’s Hospice Division
  • Your primary objective will be to develop strong foundational clinical service delivery andbranchteamswitheffective,efficient,andleanoperationsthatwillbuildandfacilitateReliantat Home’s reputation as a Best-in-Class Hospice operation.
  • Youwillberesponsibleforadvisingonthedevelopmentofoperationalandclinicalpoliciesand procedures for Reliant at Home’s Hospice Division and implementing and executing those policies and procedures.
  • YouwillserveasAdministratorforthedivision.
  • Youwillshowdeterminationtoappropriatelygrowcensus,optimizerevenue,contain/manage costs, and drive achievement of KPI targets identified by Executive Leadership
  • Youwillproactivelycontributetotheteamworkdynamicessentialtoasuccessfulcompanyand take guidance from Reliant at Home leadership as we evolve and seek to achieve new milestones.
  • YouwillhaveknowledgeandunderstandingofHCHBandpossesstheskillsettoidentifyagency clinicaloperationdeficienciesthroughreporting,troubleshootandproblemsolveissues,direct branch,office,andfieldstaffonbestpracticeutilization,andprocessclinicalworkflowinHCHB when agency clinical managers need support.
  • YouwillpossesstheabilityandworkingknowledgetocompleteaPointCarevisitinordertolead teams through documentation challenges and support new technology or process adoption processes at the local level.
  • Youwillbeexpectedtotraveltoyourregionaloffices/branchesandworkon-sitewiththeteams 2-3 days/week most weeks.
  • YouwillreportdirectlytotheVicePresidentofClinicalServices.

Responsibilities

  • OverseeoperationsoftheHospiceDivisionandensureconsistentqualityofservicedelivery, efficiency of operations, and success of each location.
  • EnsureeachagencyandclinicianisfollowingguidanceonhowtoachieveoptimalStarRatings, patient satisfaction scores, and performance under value-based metrics.
  • Provideleadership,support,andproactiveengagementwithsalesleadershipandsalesteam members to understand referral sources expectations, respond proactively and communicatively to issues and service failures, and actively pursue the on-boarding of new patients in a timely manner.
  • StrategizewithHomeOfficetalentacquisitionteammemberstomeetHospicebranch/location staffing needs and provide guidance to Clinical Branch Managers when thinking through potential hiring decisions and candidates (following the Staffing Matrix).
  • Ensurebillingholdsareprocessedinatimelymannerandbillingpercentagesexceed97%bythe first of each month.
  • MeetReliantatHomeHospicepatientservicegoalsandmaintainstateandfederalcompliance, executing on improving deficiencies identified through QAPI processes.
  • EnsurefunctionalityandworkflowwithinHCHBisefficientandeffective,offeringahelpinghand when office staff are overwhelmed.
  • ManagesuccessfulClinicalBranchManagerperformanceofagencyKPIssuchascensus,field staff productivity, PPD costs, DME, and timely documentation.
  • Facilitatetheexecutionofsuperiorfieldnursetraining,volunteer,bereavement,andother programs that will bring value to Reliant at Home’s external selling propositions, organic recruiting, and community engagement.
  • CollaboratewithHomeOfficeexecutiveandseniorleadershiptoguideandadviseonwaysto make the Reliant at Home Hospice an exceptional agency.
  • Ensureoperational,procedural,andpolicyupdatesarecommunicatedtimelyandfollowed through on at each location.

Qualifications

  • Musthaveabachelor'sdegree.Aclinicaldegreeisrequired.
  • MusthaveandmaintainRNlicensureintheStateofTexas.
  • Musthaveatleast10yearsofHospiceexperiencewithoperationalleadership,agency management and staff development experience.
  • MusthaveademonstratedrobustknowledgeoftheMedicareguidelinesgoverningthese service lines.
  • MustdemonstrateastrongunderstandingoftheissuesrelatedtothedeliveryofHospice services, with a history of effective problem solving in this area is strongly preferred.
  • Musthaveexcellentinterpersonal,communications,publicspeaking,andpresentationskills.
  • Mustpossesstheabilitytocommunicateeffectivelyverballyandinwriting.
  • Mustgeneraterespectandtrustfromstaffandexternalconstituencies.
  • Musthavesolidworkingknowledgeofcostbudgeting,sales,businessdevelopment,and strategic planning.
  • Mustbewellorganizedandabletomanagemultipletaskssimultaneously.
  • Mustbeabletoworkindependentlywithminimalsupervision.
  • Mustbeself-motivatedandpossessahighstandardofprofessionalethics.
  • Mustpossesscoreleadershiptraitsanddemonstratetheabilitytothriveinaneverevolvingand changing healthcare environment.
  • MustsupporttheReliantatHomevaluepriorities,promotethoseprioritieswithevery employee in the division, and champion company culture initiatives.
