Rello Search Partners is recruiting for an Assistant Controller to be a critical member of the senior management team for a well-established and financially stable publicly traded real estate company in Tampa, FL.

The Assistant Controller is a high visibility position reporting to the Controller and will play a critical role in overseeing and managing the financial health of the organization.

Responsibilities:

Lead and mentor a team of accounting and finance professionals, promoting a high-performance and collaborative work environment.

Provide the collection, review, analysis, and distribution of financial and operating information essential to the oversight and management of the division.

Responsible for all accounting issues, financial analysis, and internal control functions.

Manage division PL and balance sheet to ensure timely accurate monthly reporting.

Review monthly cash reconciliations for compliance with internal controls and ensuring that reconciling items are resolved in a timely manner.

Coordinate the annual budgeting and business planning process.

Support leadership with ongoing reporting, KPIs, metrics and analysis.

Act as a liaison between management, administrative staff and corporate finance for all finance and accounting matters. This includes maintenance and monitoring of financial controls and systems.

Serve as an integral part external reporting process and assist corporate finance team with the close process.

Requirements:

Bachelor degree in Accounting from an accredited university

Active CPA highly desired

7 years of relevant accounting experience to include a combination of public accounting (prefer Big 4) audit experience and corporate accounting experience with 2 years as a manager/supervisor

Must have strong knowledge of GAAP; SEC, financial reporting and technical accounting experience highly desired

Property or title insurance experience is a plus

Must have exceptional critical thinking and communication skills with a high adaptability to a fast paced, results and deadline driven environment

Must have strong financial acumen, leadership skills, and a keen eye for accuracy

Experience with Workday GL highly preferred

Travel up to 25% required

Proficient in MS Office to include Excel (pivot tables & v-lookups), Word, PowerPoint and Outlook
