Job Description

POSITION SUMMARY:
The Quality Manager reports to the Plant Manager and is responsible for planning,
coordinating, and directing the quality control program designed to ensure continuous
production consistent with established standards. Also be responsible for maintaining the
ISO9001 requirements and directing Safety.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

  • Maintain a safe working environment including the use of Personal Protection
Equipment (PPE) and compliance to all safety rules and established procedures
  • Train and mentor quality team members as required
  • Ensures that the Quality Management System follows ISO guidelines and conforms to
customer requirements
  • Ensures timely response to customer issues
  • Ensures evaluation and reporting on vendor quality systems
  • Oversees inspection of incoming and outgoing product and materials
  • Manages the monitoring, measurement and review of internal processes, especially
those that affect the quality of the Company’s product
  • Performs internal and manufacturing process audits to verify compliance to standards
and report findings to management
  • Manages the calibration system and verify timeliness of calibration of company gages
and measuring devices
  • Prepares for and represents the company during external or third-party audits as
required
  • Prepares corrective action responses when internal and/or external issues arise
  • Work with 5S management team and other team members to develop, implement,
maintain 5S process and drive conformance through 5S audits
  • Oversees and drives the Safety Team
  • Permanent member of the Safety Team
  • Works alongside Bureau of Workman’s Comp auditor during plant audits
  • Makes recommendations to Management regarding safety issues
  • Provide a positive work environment and encourage team member feedback
  • Any other duties as assigned

Job Description

JOB QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS:

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Experience with Quality Management Systems (QMS)
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office
  • Knowledgeable of gages and measuring devices
  • Strong computer, organizational, written and communication skills
WORKING CONDITIONS:
  • Office and Shop floor environment
  • Compliance is required regarding all Safety, PPE, and Quality requirements
