Goat Hill Tavern and The Boulevard is hiring a part-time bartender to join their team.
Job Summary:
The Bartender plays a vital role in delivering outstanding customer service, creating delicious cocktails, and maintaining a lively and engaging atmosphere for our guests. The Bartender will have the opportunity to showcase their creativity, professionalism, and expertise in mixology while working alongside a talented team in a fast-paced and exciting environment.
Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities:
The essential functions include, but are not limited to the following:
  • Greet customers warmly and provide excellent hospitality throughout their visit.
  • Take drink orders and recommend menu items based on guests' preferences.
  • Prepare and serve a wide variety of cocktails, beers, wines, and non-alcoholic beverages with precision and efficiency.
  • Maintain a clean and organized bar area, including stocking supplies, cleaning equipment, and ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations.
  • Engage with guests in a friendly and attentive manner, anticipating their needs and ensuring a positive experience.
  • Handle cash and credit card transactions accurately and efficiently, processing payments and maintaining a balanced cash drawer.
  • Collaborate with the kitchen and waitstaff to ensure timely and accurate delivery of food and drinks to guests.
  • Stay updated on current trends in mixology and beverage culture, continually expanding your knowledge and skills.
  • Follow company policies and procedures, including alcohol service regulations and responsible serving practices.
  • Assist in opening and closing duties, including setup, breakdown, and cleaning of the bar area.
  • Maintain a positive work atmosphere by acting and communicating in a manner to get along with customers, co-workers, and supervisors/managers.
  • Perform other duties, as assigned by management.
Rate: $16.00/hour plus tips
Requirements
Requirements:
  • Previous experience working as a Bartender in a high-volume establishment preferred.
  • Extensive knowledge of cocktails, spirits, beers, wines, and other beverages.
  • Strong customer service skills with the ability to interact professionally and courteously with guests.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively as part of a team.
  • Attention to detail and the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
  • Basic math skills for handling transactions and maintaining inventory.
  • Flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
  • Must be of legal drinking age and eligible to work in California.
  • Must be able to communicate proficiently in English, both verbal and written.
  • Strong communication and organizational skills, with the ability to motivate and manage teams.
  • Must be able to work long hours, including overtime, nights, and weekends, when needed.
Required Certifications:
  • RBS or TIPS or equivalent certification for responsible alcohol service.
Physical Requirements:
  • Ability to walk, squat, bend, reach, and stand for extended periods.
  • Must be able to lift and handle up to 50 pounds.
  • While performing the duties of this position, the employee is regularly required to talk or hear. The employee frequently is required to use hands or fingers, handle, or feel objects, tools, or controls. The employee is regularly required to stand; walk; sit; reach with hands and arms. Specific vision abilities required by this position include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, and the ability to adjust focus. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate to loud.
