Salary: $52,000 - $65,000
The Accountant plays a pivotal role in the financial management of our firm by ensuring the accuracy and integrity of our financial data, contributing to informed decision-making and compliance.
Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with the Controller to manage company finances, including cash flow management, budgeting, financial planning, and auditing processes.
- Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable functions, including invoicing and ensuring accurate and timely transactions.
- Assist in preparing accurate financial statements and reports that reflect the company's financial performance.
- Initiate and manage wire transfer requests to facilitate seamless financial transactions.
- Maintain and update the general ledger, ensuring accurate recording of financial data and transactions.
- Assist in the meticulous preparation and processing of payroll, business, property, and franchise tax payments.
- Categorize expenses and create journal entries based on data from the daily bank register.
- Handle interdepartmental bookings and effectively separate expenses between various entities.
- Manage trust accounts to ensure compliance and accurate fund management.
- Maintain precise balances on the balance sheet, contributing to accurate financial reporting.
- Maintain fixed asset management, including calculating depreciation, managing inventory, and ensuring compliance with accounting standards.
- Uphold strict confidentiality standards when handling sensitive financial information.
- Strong knowledge of GAAP and financial reporting principles.
- Proficient in accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite, with advanced Excel skills.
- Exceptional analytical skills and attention to detail.

- Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance
- 3-5 years of progressive accounting experience
- Extended periods of desk-based work involving continuous sitting and computer usage
- Repetitive movements of wrists and hands during tasks
