Job DescriptionJob PurposeThe Mental Health Therapist is responsible for providing quality individual/group therapy to person(s)-served of the center in a timely and responsible manner. Qualifications
Master’s Degree in Counseling, Psychology, Social Work, or related field.
Must have all necessary course work and meet all the requirements to be provisionally or fully licensed within the State of Missouri.
Core Job Duties
Conducts initial evaluations to determine appropriate level of care, comprehensive assessments/intakes, and/or individual counseling sessions with assigned person (s) – served and/or the person (s)- served family via Agency designated virtual telehealth platform in a closed and private space to ensure client confidentiality.
Adherence to all applicable evidence-based practice models.
Maintains a working knowledge of all civil involuntary detention procedures.
Provide crisis interventions to person(s)-served
Provide weekly reports in staffing about new person(s)-served admissions and person(s)-served receiving, therapeutic services that require team advice.
Development of the individualized recovery care plan for assigned consumers with SMART goals, objectives, and interventions.
Discharge/Transition/Aftercare Summary completed accurately and in a timely manner.
Therapist shall, at all times, keep PHI and confidential information secure.
Orally communicate information effectively and accurately. Assure program operates within the constraints of the agency’s certification (CARF, DMH) standards and strategic plan related to clinical care.
Abide by program and agency policies and procedures.
Other job duties and special projects as assigned.
