Are you passionate about product analysis and regulatory compliance? Are you looking for a remote opportunity that allows you to utilize your strong analytical and problem-solving skills? If so, we have an exciting opportunity for you as a Remote Product Analyst!
In this role, you will be an active participating member of our dynamic product team, responsible for managing multiple form and rate filings in systems such as SERFF, IFILE, and CMS. You will respond to objections, negotiate filing approvals with state and federal regulators, and ensure compliance with laws and regulations.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Prepare and manage multiple form and rate filings in SERFF, IFILE, and CMS systems.
  • Respond to objections, seek appropriate clarifications, and negotiate filing approvals directly with state and federal regulators.
  • Monitor changes to laws and regulations, develop forms for compliance, and ensure compliance with the insurance department and form rate changes.
  • Conduct state-specific legal research and monitor changes to mitigate risks and ensure compliance with existing products.
  • Support the collection of data for regulatory and product filings.
  • Work closely with other departments (underwriting, actuarial, IT, sales) to communicate filing methods and procedures and ensure accuracy and currency of rate and form filings.
  • Organize and maintain product files, ensuring all necessary documentation is included.
  • Conduct online legal and regulatory research in fifty states and federal jurisdictions.
  • Serve as a resource to others and provide support in drafting policies and procedures.
  • Manage special assignments and projects, attending meetings as a product team representative.
  • Complete other projects and duties as directed.
We are looking for candidates with:
  • Bachelor's or Associate's degree and 3 years of experience in health/accident insurance regulatory/state filings field or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Experience with student health and voluntary products, including critical illness, short-term disability, group life, and individual products, is a plus.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong organizational and analytical skills.
  • Ability to understand and interpret state and federal laws and regulations.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
  • Ability to work independently with complex issues.
  • Strong multitasking and attention to detail.
  • Training and experience using SERFF, IFILE, and CMS systems.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office suite.
  • Demonstrated listening and problem-resolution skills.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, intense working environment.
