Responsibilities We Expect Of You
- Develop high-quality software design and architecture
- Identify, prioritize and execute tasks in the software development life cycle
- Develop tools and applications by producing clean, efficient code
- Automate tasks through appropriate tools and scripting
- Review and debug code
- Perform validation and verification testing
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders to improve products
- Document development phases and monitor systems
- Ensure software is up-to-date with latest technologies
- Proven experience as a Senior Software Engineer
- Extensive experience in software development, scripting and project management
- Experience using system monitoring tools (e.g. Sentry, Cloudwatch) and automated testing frameworks
- In depth knowledge of JavasScript and select programming languages (e.g. TypeScript, NodeJS, Express, React, Python)
- Knowledge of relational databases (e.g. PostgreSQL, MySQL) and NoSQL databases (e.g. DynamoDB)
- Knowledge of cloud base platforms (e.g. AWS)
- Familiarity with various operating systems (Mac OS, Windows)
- Analytical mind with problem-solving aptitude
- Ability to work independently
- Excellent organizational and leadership skills
- BS/BA in Computer Science or a related degree
