Job DescriptionWe are currently seeking a Sr. Business Data Analyst, MDM – SAP specializing in SAP S/4Hana to join our team. In this role, you will assume a pivotal position in safeguarding data precision and integrity within the Master Data team. The position encompasses a wide range of data governance activities, from the creation and maintenance of data, workflows, and templates to the documentation of processes regarding Master Data setup and updates. Proficient in data extraction from SAP tables for reporting, this expert will leverage analytical proficiency to provide invaluable insights on material attributes. The successful candidate’s attention to detail and commitment to excellence will be driving forces behind the optimization of our data management practices, the facilitation of informed decision-making and the overall enhancement of efficiency within the Master Data team. Applicants should have an understanding of the business processes that rely on master data, allowing for the effective alignment of data management practices with business requirements. The ideal candidate also possesses the ability to work seamlessly with various departments and stakeholders to achieve common data-related objectives.

A day on the job looks like this:
- Become the gatekeeper and conduct thorough audits of master data records within SAP systems to ensure data accuracy, consistency and compliance with established standards and policies
- Provide recommendations for process enhancements and data governance improvements based on audit findings
- Take the lead in leveraging and developing ticket-tracking tools like Jira to establish the necessary functionality for processing, upkeeping and monitoring incoming requests within the Master Data team
- Collaborate with various departments to understand their master data requirements and perform data quality checks, validation and cleansing to identify and rectify data discrepancies, ensuring high levels of accuracy
- Generate reports and insights from the material master in SAP for cross-functional teams regarding reporting and analytics purposes
- Provide training and support to SAP users on master data entry, maintenance and best practices
- Execute data migration activities during SAP implementations, ensuring smooth transition of data from legacy systems
- Collaborate with SAP support to troubleshoot technical issues related to master data management while performing root-cause analysis to implement corrective measures to prevent reoccurrence
Got the skills and experience? Here’s what we’re looking for:
- 4 years of experience in the field, with a focus in SAP Master Data Management is a plus
- 2 years of experience in SAP reporting, workflows and template building
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management or a related field
- Ability to think long-term and align master data strategies with broader business and organizational goals
- Aptitude for identifying complex data issues and developing effective solutions, often in collaboration with cross-functional teams
- Strong focus on accuracy and precision when managing critical data elements
- Skill in conveying technical information clearly to both technical and nontechnical stakeholders, and actively listening to gather requirements and address concerns
- Skill in planning, organizing and executing data management projects within specified timelines and budgets
- Proficiency in working in SAP to manage and maintain master data records effectively within the Material Master, Supplier Master and Customer Master
- The ability to create and maintain data models that define the structure and relationships of master data elements within the MDM system
- Skills in validating and cleansing master data to ensure accuracy, consistency and adherence to data quality standards
- Knowledge of data integration techniques and tools to ensure seamless dataflow between the MDM system and other systems or applications in the organization
- Familiarity with data governance practices, policies and frameworks to ensure compliance with data management rules and regulations
- Proficiency in Microsoft software apps such as Excel, PowerPoint, SharePoint, Teams, Power BI, etc.
- Proficiency in Issue Tracking Software such as Jira, ServiceNow, Zendesk, etc.
- Proficiency in SAP Winshuttle is a plus

- Salary: $90,000-$105,000 with an annual bonus of up to 10%
