- Job Summary:**
Primary Job Duties
- Assesses patients, plans and administers Care Plan compatible with physician, patient and family goals.
- Provides high quality and safe patient care.
- Completes all necessary documentation related to patient treatment.
- Assists in efficient and effective return of patient to the highest degree of independence possible.
- Maintains a cost-effective treatment plan.
- Assists in orientation of new employees and volunteers.
- Ensures that person who work for, are serviced by, or associated with, the Hospital receive the highest degree of courtesy possible.
- Adheres to established Hospital safety standards.
- Ensures department objectives are met.
- Should be able to demonstrate the knowledge and skills necessary to provide care appropriate to the age of the patients served on his/her unit.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
- Qualifications:**
– Valid state license to practice as a Speech Pathologist
– Experience working in school, clinic, or hospital settings
– Proficiency in patient care and case management
– Strong knowledge of anatomy related to speech and language
– Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Job RequirementsCertification: BLS – AHA, CA SLP (Speech-Language Pathologist) License
Education: Graduation from an accredited speech therapy program
Special NotesSetting- Inpatient hospital, comfortable with Modified barium swallows and adult patients ranging from MedSurg, ICU to strokes.
