Seeking an experienced PART-TIME BOOKKEEPER who is knowledgeable, accurate, and reliable for a Bookkeeping firm that handles all bookkeeping services, payroll taxes, business start-ups and tax preparation for S-Corporations, Individuals, Schedule C’s and Schedule E’s. 35 hours/week, hybrid.

• Good at relating to clients and meeting them where they are at in their financial journey
• Looking for a firm that does bookkeeping differently than most other firms
• Highly experienced in QuickBooks - both online and desktop
• Willing to learn and work on multiple accounting software programs
• Able to find and fix errors in financial records
• Living in the Knoxville area and be available for one day onsite and in-person team meetings in far West Knoxville as well as client visits in various locations within Knoxville and one client in Athens occasionally.

THE ROLE

Manage everything from full-charge bookkeeping to clean-up work for assigned clients. Will include the following:

• · Bank Reconciliations
• · Make and Record Deposits
• · Invoice preparation
• · Accounts Payable
• · Accounts Receivable
• · Bank & Credit Card Reconciliations
• · Error-Checking
• · Payroll
• · Sales tax

Assist other staff as needed.
Visit clients to pick up documents or meet in person to discuss their business needs.
Regular use of Excel and Word.
Actively assist in the growth of the company, helping with transitions in personnel and software.
Open to learning and change.
Able to work independently and productively without regular supervision, meeting firm deadlines as required.
Available 4-5 days a week for 3-4 hours a day, on a regular schedule, with an opportunity that will likely grow in hours as the business grows.
