This full-time position is primarily evenings and overnights with the requirement of every other weekend and every other holiday.
This position will register and admit patients by obtaining relevant patient demographic and insurance information, adjusting patient status as appropriate, and ensuring legally required forms.
Responsibilities include:
• Coordinate insurance pre-certification and verification process
• Operate switchboard and direct patient, visitor and staff phone calls and questions to appropriate personnel
• Update hospital on-call schedule daily
• Verify and generate daily patient room changes
• Coordinate all alarm monitors and code calls which include summoning appropriate response teams
• Complete county letters and liens for applicable patient accounts • Work every other weekend
Required: Must have at least 6 months recent hospital/medical or general office experience as well as patient registration and computer experience
