Renaissance Academy Charter School is Hiring a Principal - Charter School Near Phoenixville, PA

Renaissance Academy will be hiring for one or more principles for the following grade levels.

Grade Levels (K-8, K-6, 5-8, K-4)

Renaissance Academy Charter School is seeking a strong, innovative Principal to be a collaborative contributor to a K-12 Team of Leaders.

The successful candidate must have a minimum of three years of successful teaching experience (Charter School desired), and Peer Leadership experience in a school setting. Candidates must have strong leadership and interpersonal skills, knowledge of assessment data , and best practices related to student achievement, scheduling, discipline, and special education. Applicants should have experience teaching diverse learners and be committed to the success of all students. Willingness to engage families, work with the community, and build a positive learning community while striving for academic success.

Qualification/Requirements:

Works beside the other principals to manage elementary, middle, and high school administrative and educational aspects. Plays an integral role in establishing and maintaining the school climate conducive to learning, including overseeing the enforcement of school rules and regulations and implementing disciplinary measures when deemed necessary. The vice principal will be tasked with reviewing budgets and school policies, organizing school events and community initiatives, updating student records, and recruiting new staff.

The principal must be of good character and integrity. Have the proven experience and skills to work effectively with the staff, leadership team, students, parents, and community.

  • Master’s Degree in Education required
  • PA Administrative Certification - K-12 Principal required
  • 2 years' experience as a principal, other school administration or school leadership role desired
  • 3 years’ experience as a teacher required
  • Strong written and verbal communication
  • Strong critical thinking skills
  • Strong technology skills
  • Knowledge of IDEA and 504 regulations
  • Basic understanding of school budget process and PA School Code

FLSA Status: Exempt

  • Contract Length: 220-day work calendar

Job Responsibilities:

  • Utilizes current technologies to support leadership and management functions
  • Align resources to improve teaching and learning

3.Improving Teaching and Learning:

  • Works with and engages staff in shared vision for effective teaching and learning by implementing a standards based curriculum, relevant to student needs and interests, research-based effective practice, academic rigor, and high expectations for student learning in every classroom
  • Implements curricular scope and sequence
  • Reviews instructional practices
  • Creates continuous improvement cycle
  • Implements data guided decisions
  • Implements data guided instruction
  • Uses disaggregated data
  • Selects and retains teachers that maximize student learning
  • Evaluates the effectiveness of teaching and holds teachers accountable
  • Ensures professional learning for teachers that enhance student learning
  • Promotes use of technology to enhance student learning

4.Building and Maintaining Collaborative Relationships:

  • Creates, develops and sustains relationships that result in active student engagement in the learning process
  • Utilizes meaningful feedback of students, staff, families, and community in the evaluation of school programs and policies
  • Proactively engages families and communities in support of child’s learning and school learning goals
  • Demonstrates an understanding of the change process
  • Develop professional learning networks within schools, as well as local, regional, national and international communities

Pay: From $84,000.00 per year
