Renaissance is Hiring a Director of Product Management Near Chicago, IL

We are seeking an entrepreneurial Director, Product Management, in the Greater Chicago Area to lead the ideation, development, and launch of innovative products to benefit our member agencies.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following:

  • Engage with cross-functional teams, and collaborate with business and engineering teams to guide future product direction and champion releases
  • Build and leverage business domain expertise, product and technical knowledge to translate business problems into strategic product roadmaps, requirements, and insights, for end-to-end solution delivery
  • Work directly with Renaissance customers (i.e., independent insurance agency principals and their team members) to understand business needs and pain-points to reveal specific behaviors that drive business outcomes
  • Drive improvement in key business metrics and provide customer-friendly product experiences by working closely with business partners
  • Solve ambiguous and complex problems, interface with leadership, and engage in business, engineering, and operational collaboration
  • Develop and implement product plans and manage communication and engagement with key stakeholders throughout the product lifecycle

QUALIFICATIONS & COMPETENCIES

  • Experience in Product Management with both an action orientation and problem-solving capabilities, comfortable with outcome-driven product development vs. solution-driven
  • Proven track record of balancing the delivery of long-term goals and short-term objectives
  • A skilled storyteller who can see the big picture and at the same time convey the essence of key platform features to team members and customers
  • Moves effortlessly up and down levels of abstraction while communicating with different stakeholders
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to properly translate and articulate positioning and technology
  • A humble leader who can listen and learn, building deep empathy for our customers and key stakeholders while also being a quick study who keeps current on developments in product management and new technology
  • Ability to manage multiple stakeholder groups with a proven ability to connect people and influence those around you
  • Learning attitude with a motivation to grow and evolve the role
