The basic function of the Maintenance position is to complete work orders, preventive maintenance of guest rooms and equipment, and manage the supplies within the maintenance department. This is a “hands on” job requiring the daily use of a variety of hand and power tools, using caution and protective equipment as needed for each specific job. Candidate must be able to work unsupervised in a professional manner and take initiative. All major work will be coordinated and scheduled by the General Manager.

QUALIFICATION AND SKILL REQUIREMENTS

1) Applicant should possess general knowledge regarding carpentry, painting, electrical troubleshooting, plumbing, drywall, boilers and sprinklers.

2) Applicant should have strong written and verbal communication skills.

3) Applicant must possess fundamental math skills.

4) Applicant must possess personal computer skills, including use of Microsoft Word and Excel.

5) Applicant must be able to reach, bend, stoop and frequently lift up to 50 pounds.

6) Applicant must be able to work in a standing position for long period of time.

7) Applicant must have the ability to use, hand-eye coordination, with electric hand tools as well as manual hand tools.

8) Applicant must be able to conduct minor repairs on appliances, such as washers, dryers, dishwashers, TV’s, air conditioning and other system malfunctions.

9) Applicant must be familiar with state and federal laws concerning codes, life safety and chemical handling.

9) Applicant must have a valid driver's license with a clean record.

PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

1) Know and comply with all health, safety and fire policies and have strong knowledge of state, federal and county regulations in regards to permits, health and safety.*

2) Responsible to know and comply with Reneson policies and procedures, such as safety, health and daily operating procedures.*

3) Responsible to assist in the cleanliness of the building exterior, landscaping and parking lot.*

4) Responsible to assist in the maintenance and cleanliness of trash enclosure.

5) Responsible to assist in the maintenance projects, including guest rooms, food service and preparation area, laundry, the building envelope and roof and drainage during shifts.*

6) Responsible to maintain fitness equipment.

7) Responsible to assist in the ongoing preventative maintenance including guest rooms, food service and preparation area, laundry, the building envelope and roof and drainage.*

8) Responsible to assist in the landscaping and irrigation, including leak detection.*

9) Responsible to assist in the ongoing preventative maintenance of parking lot and related areas.*

10) Responsible for the ongoing relationships and service contracts related to technical
services providers.*

11) Responsible to check out suspicious activity on the property, in conjunction with General Manager.

TASKS

1) On a daily basis review the exterior of the property (building and landscaping) to insure cleanliness.

2) Complete all maintenance requests on a timely basis.

3) Complete the in-room Preventative Maintenance in a timely manner.

4) Complete the Maintenance Checklist in GuestEQ on a timely basis. Items on this listing include Boilers, AC Units, Hotel Laundry Washer and Dryers.

5) On a daily basis work closely with other departments to insure a clean and well maintained property.

6) On a regular basis assist in moving furniture, equipment and materials as required.

7) Greet customers and provide quality customer service at every interaction with guests.

8) Perform other related tasks as requested.
